The Prince's Promise: Prologue

Once upon a time, two princes were born, same day, same time different kingdoms.

In the kingdom of Crimson Blood:

The queen was in agonizing pain, after the smooth coming of the princess, another offspring was in the midst of birth, a jet black male Hedgehog with red stripes, upon his arrival the palace was struck by lightning, a raven perched on the window sill, and the queen died. The king, known as Black Doom addressed his people and presented his son. "He will be known as Shadow! Your Prince of Crimson Blood!" When he was presented, lightning struck the palace once more. As if to curse the child of Crimson Blood.

In the kingdom of Starlight:

Light poured into the room, happy giggles of a new baby, born into love and peace, echoed through the palace. Adored by his parents, and by his people, he was presented as such by his parents, King Sonic and Queen Amy, "This young one you see before you, is his royal majesty, Silver the Prince of Starlight!" When he was presented, clouds parted and a spotlight was on him as if the heavens were already blessing the child of Starlight.
