Ever since Apex Legends’ sudden release earlier this year, we’ve all been in love with this game (Well, at least some of us) and wouldn’t stop playing it for the first month. Then we all moved back to Fortnite. So, Apex started doing seasons like Fortnite, adding new content like characters, weapons, and new map locations every season. And now we’re in Season 3, where Apex is fresher than ever with a new character called Crypto, a new map called World’s Edge, and all new guns and cosmetic features, and the good thing is that it’s all more fun than ever.

STORY

Ever since the monsters arrived on Kings Canyon in season 2, the map was getting destroyed bit by bit each day until they moved the Apex Games to a new planet/map called World’s Edge. Along the way, they added a new Apex Legend to the game, Crypto, a mysterious hacker with an unknown identity to the other competitors.

MEET CRYPTO

Crypto is a hacker from the planet Suotamao, where he was raised on the streets. His real name is Tae Joon Park and with his foster sister Mila Alexander, they escaped a terrible life and became computer engineers for the Apex Games. Together, they designed drones that sends the Apex Games through the Outlands. One day, Tae Joon and Mila went off the grid, with Tae Joon creating the persona of Crypto. He joined the Apex Games for justice over something in his past.

GAMEPLAY

Now for the gameplay. Since the map is new and fresh, it brings a lot of variety to fights, so each fight feels new and unique. The graphics and controls are also as clean as ever. The new weapon, the Charge Rifle is also fun and unique as much as it is overpowered. The new legend, Crypto is fun and unique as you can use his abilities in unique ways to make clutch plays and to break the game as well. But, there are a few downsides. There are a few bugs here and there, like T-Posing characters on the character select screen. But, the people at Respawn Entertainment (Developers of Apex Legends) are working hard to fix that. To keep the game even fresher, they already released an event, the Fight or Fright event, a Halloween event which adds even more value to the game.

Overall

Apex Legends is fresher and funner than ever. It’s fun to play, explore, and watch streamers or YouTubers play. Though there are some bugs, they don’t take away a lot from the gameplay. So grab your Lifeline “Mozambique here.” spammer friend or anyone you know, and enjoy Apex season 3.

Score: 9.5/10
